Sevengrams

Multilingual e-commerce website

Sevengrams produces and distributes high-quality espresso pods. As they started up their business, we delivered a comprehensive solution to sell their products and enhance their brand, including a multi-language, e-commerce website, a series of community building tools, packaging and corporate visual identity.

Our role:

bemils was chosen by Sevengrams to design their multi-language, e-commerce website.

Customer’s need:

Sevengrams needed a complex website which could serve both as an e-commerce platform and as their online “business card”. The e-commerce capability had to be integrated with all other functions and with the look & feel of the entire website, which in turn had to reflect Sevengrams’ corporate visual identity. Moreover, the e-commerce had to be fully and efficiently multilingual.

Our solution:

Sevengrams’ website is based upon our widely tested content management system besite. We activated its e-commerce capability (a.k.a. beshop) along with its other functionalities to implement a multi-language cart, which makes it possible to create just one instance of each product with different characteristics that depend on the buyer’s location.

The products list keeps the same look & feel of the whole website to intensify brand perception, and each product’s page may contain links to related products (e.g. when you’re looking to the 250g tins of ground coffee blend you receive the suggestion to buy the coffee pods for the same blend). Moreover, to apply the brand’s philosophy (to spread the culture of true espresso), each product may have a longish description plus a list of more specific characteristics (such as the sensory profile of each coffee blend).

The system accepts all the most common payment methods (including paypal) and the whole buying process is evident from the first step, so that each user always knows what he has to do yet and, especially, when he can click “next” without having to pay. To minimize abandonment, the content of the cart can be easily modified at each step prior to payment.
